Terms of Use

1. The service

Cabsmith (“the app”) is software for designing cabinets and optimizing cutting layouts for sheet goods and panels. It is provided by the Cabsmith developer (“we”, “us”). These terms apply to the app, this website at cabsmith.app, and any related services.

2. Your account & device

Cabsmith does not require an account to use its core features. Your projects are stored on your device. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of any work that matters to you; uninstalling the app or losing your device may permanently delete locally stored data.

3. Subscriptions & billing

• Cabsmith is free to use for up to 3 saved projects, including the optimizer and PDF cutting plans.
• Cabsmith Pro is an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Google Play account at the price shown in the app at purchase (currently $7.49/month or $59.49/year).
• Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. Manage or cancel anytime in Google Play → Subscriptions; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled under Google Play’s refund policies.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
• Resell, sublicense or redistribute the app or your Pro entitlement.
• Use the app to break any applicable law, or to infringe anyone’s intellectual-property rights.
• Interfere with or disrupt the app, its security, or the providers it relies on.

5. Intellectual property

The app, this website, and the Cabsmith name, logo and designs are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property law. Content you create with the app — your projects, parts, cut plans and exports — belongs to you. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app under these terms.

6. Disclaimer — verify before you cut

Cabsmith is a planning aid, not a guarantee. Optimized layouts, generated cabinet parts, dimensions, costs and exports are produced automatically and may contain errors, or may not suit your material, machine, tolerances or local standards. You are solely responsible for checking every measurement and cut plan before cutting, machining or quoting. Always confirm critical dimensions and account for your own kerf, defects and trim. We are not liable for wasted material, mis-cuts, mis-quotes or any other loss arising from reliance on the app’s output.

7. Warranty & liability

The app and website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes to the app & terms

We may update, change or discontinue features of the app, and we may revise these terms. For material changes we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimer, liability) continue to apply.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the developer’s place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence still apply.
